Project Overview
The City of Cleveland contracted with R.E. Warner to repair/replace the asphalt paving and parking surrounding the North Point Men’s Shelter building on Superior Avenue. The project includes public art on the west side of the building, the base on the north face of the building, and a new streetscape design for the front.
R.E. Warner, the engineering consultant, and Dallas-based Garrison/Jones Landscape Architects are working to provide civil and electrical engineering design, surveying, construction drawings, art design and management, landscape architecture, and construction administration services. Our scope of work includes:

Existing conditions survey

Demolition of existing pavement, curbs and appurtenances

Parking pavement, curb, and sidewalk, fence repair, parking signs, front landscaping

Underground utility relocation

Erosion and sediment control
-
Locating exterior bollards in the vicinity of the building

Grading and drainage in the vicinity of the building
-
Exterior/site lighting in the parking area and around the building

Landscape architecture for street frontage, including flatwork, planters, irrigation, and other amenities

Public art key themes and messages and identifying artists, as well as serving as a resource and advisor to artists for design concepts
These upgrades will improve curb appeal through thoughtful landscape elements and better organize and clearly mark parking and vehicular route for the area surrounding the North Point Building, located on Superior Avenue in downtown Cleveland.
R.E. Warner has also played a part in the design of upgrades and renovation to the interiors at North Point.
