Project Overview
R.E. Warner provided resident architectural and engineering services in support of Solar Testing Laboratories during construction of the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District's new Renewable Energy Facility at the Southerly Wastewater Treatment Plant.
This 48,000 SF facility houses three new fluidized bed incinerators and associated equipment. Process equipment includes polymer systems, dewatering centrifuges, cake storage bins and cake storage pumping and piping.
Additionally, this project involved the installation of the owner-procured incineration equipment, turbine generator and water treatment system. Also included was the reworking and addition of new pumping systems within the sludge storage tank area and construction of a new biofilter odor control system.
Our team's scope of work included performing construction document review, value engineering studies, construction feasibility analysis, public bidding analysis and award, field logistics planning, contractor coordination, testing and construction observation coordination, shop drawing review, recordkeeping and reporting, record status drawing preparation and project finalization.
