Project Overview
R.E. Warner served as structural and civil engineering consultant to City Architecture for the renovation of Cuyahoga Community College's Metropolitan Campus Plaza.
Tri-C divided this work into four quadrants and worked on one quadrant per year over several years. R.E. Warner provided preliminary data collection services and a condition survey of the entire plaza during the project's first phase.
Following, our team's scope of work included structural and civil engineering design and construction documents for the phased quadrant renovations.
Cold Harbor Building Company was responsible for constructing the renovation, which included: removal/abatement of the concrete wearing slab, coal- tar waterproofing system, pavement and landscape areas.
The plaza was reconfigured to provide an updated student-friendly area with new metal picket and cable-railing systems, site furniture, upgraded sprinkler systems and light poles/bases. The project was done in phases to allow students and facility access to the entire campus.
