At R.E. Warner, we believe in more than just designing structures; we believe in building futures and empowering communities. That's why we're proud to support
Beat the Streets Cleveland, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to nurturing youth development in underserved areas of our city through the sport of wrestling.
What is Beat the Streets Cleveland?
Beat the Streets Cleveland is more than just a wrestling program. It's a beacon of hope for the youth in our community, providing them with essential life skills and opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach. Founded in 2016 by individuals whose lives were positively impacted by wrestling, Beat the Streets Cleveland focuses on teaching respect, teamwork, leadership, integrity, and perseverance to young people in Cleveland, Ohio. Through mentoring, training, and youth athletics, Beat the Streets is opening doors for Cleveland youth, transforming lives one child at a time.
Our Commitment to Beat the Streets
Our journey with Beat the Streets Cleveland began when a colleague at Rudolph Libbe introduced us to this remarkable organization. With our firm’s long-standing interest in supporting organizations for kids and our COO Frank Johnson’s background in wrestling, we were immediately drawn to their mission.
We started by assisting Beat the Streets in finding a suitable location for their organization. We conducted careful analysis of potential buildings and sites. Ultimately, they selected an existing building in the Slavic Village neighborhood. We then lent our expertise to develop design concepts and renderings for the space, enabling them to showcase their vision and attract funding for the project. Our firm provided all the design layout and renderings pro bono, with landscape architecture assistance from Hank Thomas at Garrison Jones
As Beat the Streets has continued to secure funding for their initiatives, we didn't stop at design support. We have facilitated introductions with potential investors, helping to further their cause and expand their reach.
Supporting Run4TheLand
To support Beat the Streets’ fundraising efforts, Hank Thomas started
Run4TheLand. Hank is logging running miles between December (Dallas Marathon) and May (Cleveland Marathon) and hoping to achieve $100 for every mile that he is putting in for a total of $13,500 -- 1350 miles between Dallas and Cleveland for the route that he is taking.
Our team has joined in to support Hank through Run4TheLand. Every mile run and every dollar raised brings us closer to creating positive change and providing opportunities for Cleveland's youth.
At R.E. Warner, we're proud to stand alongside Beat the Streets Cleveland in their mission to empower and uplift our city's youth, beating the streets of Cleveland, one life at a time. Together, we can build futures, shape lives, and make a lasting impact on our community, creating a brighter future for the next generation.
