Project Overview
R.E. Warner is providing complete architectural, engineering, and construction administration services to expand an automotive plant in Wooster, Ohio, to allow for additional manufacturing space for car components for electric vehicles.
The owner has undertaken major investments to expand their manufacturing capacity in Wooster to keep pace with their automotive transmission business growth and secure its position as the community’s largest employer. Our scope of work spans the civil, structural, mechanical (HVAC and piping), and electrical engineering disciplines, architecture, surveying, and construction administration services including:
- Topographic survey of site and exposed utilities and horizontal and vertical surveying control for construction and installation
- Building code compliance and life safety and egress, door and window schedule and details, and building materials and finishes
- Demolition of existing roadways, structures, buildings, fence, and other appurtenances.
- Site design and engineering for buildings, grading, paving, drainage, stormwater management, roadways, parking structures, fences, signs, retention basins/drainage facilities, underground utilities, erosion and sediment control, and landscaping.
- Building foundations, truss structures and analysis and reinforcement, pipe racks, platforms, and stairs
- Heating and Ventilation and exhaust system design, evaluation of existing ventilation equipment, and pipe routing for condensate draining of HVAC equipment
- Electrical systems for interior lighting, exterior/site lighting, facility power, emergency lighting, embedding conduit plans for new and relocated service conductors, new building grounding grid, and communication plan
- Shop drawing review, responses to Requests for Information, punch lists, and site visits during construction.
This expansion further equips the Wooster team with the capacity to develop and produce E-Mobility solutions in the United States.
