Project Overview
R.E. Warner provided engineering services for the addition of a new coating line and building at a Northeast Ohio adhesive manufacturing plant.
The expanded facility houses a new energy-efficient coater and production line to manufacture complex, multiple-layer pressure-sensitive tapes, along with supporting equipment for ventilation, air-recycling, positive air pressure, and controlled humidification. The added manufacturing capacity further enhances the company’s ability to develop and deliver high-quality pressure-sensitive adhesives solutions for both standard and novel customer applications across the automotive, general industrial, packaging, and building and construction industries, among others.
Our scope of work included design for process arrangement, civil, structural and M/E/P engineering, architecture, surveying and construction administration. In addition to installing the new coating line, the project also included the installation of a new regenerative thermal oxidizer, a new transformer and switchgear in an e-house, and expanding an existing tank farm.
Constructed using structural steel, masonry walls, and insulated metal panels, the expansion project features maximum wall heights of 47 feet and was built with future expansions in mind, including a new electrical service.
