R.E. Warner & Associates is pleased to announce that the firm has created the new position of Market Director for our four major markets – Metals, Utilities, Chemical/Process, and Commercial/Government.
With REW’s continued growth, it is beneficial to appoint leaders to each of these key markets who will have a dedicated focus on the firm's growth and performance within these designated sectors. The creation of the Market Director position further ensures the firm is positioned for additional growth, flexibility, and sustainability in the coming years. Market Directors will actively participate in strategic planning, marketing, business development, and sustainability; and will be responsible for the effective management of project budgets and schedules within their respective markets. Responsibilities also include growing our business through ensuring high-quality work, strong project management, building client relationships, and high levels of communication internally and externally.
This approach will allow us continued growth through the dedication of resources as REW continues to build these markets and expand into new geographical areas.

JEN KALIN, RA, NCARB, LEED AP | Market Director, Commercial/Government
Jen Kalin will be filling the newly created position of Market Director for the Commercial and Government Market reporting to Ted Beltavski.
Jen joined REW in 2008. Over the course of her tenure with the firm, she has grown from being a valued individual contributor and shareholder, to managing projects, managing the architectural and marketing departments, and business development. With the growth of the organization, Jen’s business development efforts will focus specifically on the commercial and government markets. Jen has already helped to grow our client base in her role as a Director of Business Development and we are confident that she will excel at leading further growth in taking on the role of Market Director.
With Jen’s newly created position and her shift from Director of Business Development, as the Chief Business Development Officer, Mark Pierce will be overseeing REW's general business development efforts.
Jen holds both a B.S. and B.A. in Architecture from Kent State University, is registered in 11 states, is a LEED Accredited Professional, and was named among the 2018 ENR Midwest Top Young Professionals.

WILLIE KESTERSON, PE, PMP | Market Director, Metals
Willie Kesterson has been promoted to Market Director for the Metals market and reporting to Frank Johnson.
Willie joined us in 2022 as a Senior Project Manager. He is a Professional Mechanical Engineer and Senior Project Manager with 23 years of experience in the metals market. Further, he offers a unique perspective having served on project teams for both owners and engineering consulting firms. This experience working both in industry and consulting allows him to work with internal and external stakeholders to identify operational challenges, develop solutions, evaluate options, and execute the plan.
Willie holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and an M.S. in Manufacturing Systems Management from Southern Methodist University. He also has earned a Certificate in Project Management from The University of Alabama - Huntsville. He is a registered Professional Engineer in 15 states.
Willie will be working primarily from REW's Alabama office with visits to Cleveland as necessary.

KAREN MAYER, PE, MEM | Market Director, Chemical/Process
Karen Mayer has been promoted to Market Director for the Chemical/Process Market reporting to Ted Beltavski.
Karen joined REW in February as a Business Development Manager reporting to Willie Kesterson. Karen has experience managing engineering teams for both small and large-scale capital projects in chemical and industrial facilities. She is proficient in modern project execution methods to ensure successful project outcomes. Karen has expertise in identifying plant and project needs, managing risks, and identifying opportunities for value addition and savings. She also has specialized expertise in industrial gas projects, including plant design and preparing detailed design engineering packages for Cryogenic air separation units (ASUs), Carbon Dioxide plants, cylinder filling, liquefaction, and air distillation systems. Her experience includes specialty chemicals and she has led several projects in TiO2 manufacturing and Paint and Resins facilities.
Karen holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Cleveland State University and a MEM in Engineering Management from Ohio University. She is a registered Professional Engineer in South Carolina.
