Safety is important to all of us at R.E. Warner because the nature of our work takes us into hazardous environments. Over the last several years, Dave Brunner, a technician and project manager on our mechanical team, has spearheaded safety training across the firm, from our design and engineering staff to our administrative departments, to ensure our entire team is equipped with the knowledge and procedures to stay safe.
Dave has written 50+ different safety programs submitted to clients for review and approval. Further, Dave has evolved safety training practices alongside the remarkable growth of the firm to ensure that new team members quickly get up-to-speed with essential safety knowledge and procedures. We’ve tripled in size since 2018 and now have 50 staff certified in OSHA 10, 6 staff certified in OSHA 30, and 6 staff certified in Aerial Lift.
As a result of his efforts, our firm has achieved an A-rating (TRIR 0) for each of the last 5 years. This data is testament to Dave’s determination to ensure safety comes first in our culture and approach to our work.
In recognition of these achievements and to continue to enhance our safety program, Dave has been promoted into a new role as R.E. Warner’s Safety Manager. While he will continue to serve as a project manager, Dave’s primary responsibility will be to our safety program.
In addition to Dave’s day-to-day role coordinating safety-related communications with our employees and clients, Dave plans to advance our safety training and education system, develop safety benchmarks, improve safety coordination within our projects, and network with our clients, regulators, peer groups, and safety organizations.
Well done, Dave!
